Why are some climate value metrics called “Extreme”?

Answer

The extreme physical risk metric and the extreme transition risk metric represent the potential losses due to physical and transition risks under the scenario where physical and transition risks are the highest, respectively. They are, thus, coined “extreme” because they are calculated in their respective worst-case scenarios.
