Why are only 3 climate scenarios used when more exist?

All existing scenarios belong to one of the three categories: Orderly Transition, Disorderly Transition, and No Transition (sometimes called “Hot House World” scenarios). The scenarios that we picked are the most representative of the three categories and are sufficient to address all the main questions regarding climate risks. Adding more scenarios would, therefore, lead to redundant or unnecessary information.
