How do you quantify the damage factor? For which types of assets are damage functions developed?

Answer

The damage factors we measure can be interpreted as the ratio between the cost of replacement and the cost of asset replacement, expressed as a percentage.

For our research, we rely on damage functions for general transport, roads, power assets, wind farms, gas water mains, water tanks, water treatment, oil refineries, etc.
