1.7.1 Index governance

Governance Framework

The Scientific Infra and Private Assets' governance framework is designed to ensure integrity, representativeness, and quality of our benchmarks and compliance with the EU Benchmark Regulation (BMR) and accepted industry practices.

This framework has defined strong and substantiated governance procedures and controls in the development, maintenance, and distribution of its indices established through index methodology documents coupled with policies and guidelines as well as a clear separation of distinct functions and duties across the company. This ensures effective conflicts of interest mitigation and management.

Ensuring proper execution of this framework, Index and Oversight Committees are established to govern our indices transparently. They effectively monitor, maintain, and enforce policies and procedures with robust quality reviews and ongoing oversight from Compliance and Risk functions.
